You&#8217;ll translate real audit and controls work into structured, high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason the way auditors do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Focus Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">External audit &amp; assurance \u00b7 internal audit, risk &amp; controls (SOX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design realistic scenarios from your work \u2014 audit planning, scoping &amp; risk assessment; substantive fieldwork, sampling &amp; testing workpapers; the audit report &amp; opinion \/ engagement wrap-up; PBC support; SOX controls documentation, walkthroughs &amp; testing; issue tracking and remediation validation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and compare AI-generated audit outputs for accuracy, evidential support, and sound professional judgment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI performs audit and controls tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate asynchronously with the research team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ideal Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Public accounting audit background (Big 4 or regional firm) and\/or internal audit \/ controls (SOX) background<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CPA or CIA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong written communication and attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit a resume or a short summary of your audit experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete a short form on your practice area, specialties, and certifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected applicants may complete a brief sample task<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contract and Payment Terms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will be engaged as an independent contractor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note: We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.<br><br>CLICK LINK TO APPLY:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/t.mercor.com\/GZSyb\">https:\/\/t.mercor.com\/GZSyb<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role Overview Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage experienced audit and controls professionals \u2014 external audit and internal audit \/ SOX.
